dravyayajñāstapoyajñā yogayajñāstathāpare
svādhyāyajñānayajñāśca yatayaḥ saṃśitavratāḥ
dravyayajñāḥ = sacrificing one’s possessions; tapoyajñāḥ = sacrifice in austerities; yogayajñāḥ = sacrifice in eightfold mysticism; tathā = thus; apare = others; svādhyāya = sacrifice in the study of the Vedas; jñānayajñāḥ = sacrifice in advancement of transcendental knowledge; ca = also; yatayaḥ = enlightened persons; saṃśitavratāḥ = taken to strict vows.;
Others again offer wealth, austerity and YOGA as sacrifice, while the ascetics of self-restraint and rigid vows offer study of scriptures and knowledge as sacrifice.
