किं कर्म किमकर्मेति कवयोऽप्यत्र मोहिताः ।
तत्ते कर्म प्रवक्ष्यामि यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात् ॥16॥
kiṃ karma kimakarmeti kavayo’pyatra mohitāḥ
tatte karma pravakṣyāmi yajjñātvā mokṣyase’śubhāt
kiṃ = what is; karma = action; kiṃ = what is; akarma = inaction; iti = thus; kavayaḥ = the intelligent; api = also; atra = in this matter; mohitāḥ = are bewildered; tat = that; te = unto you; karma = work; pravakṣyāmi = I shall explain; yat = which; jñātvā = knowing; mokṣyase = you will be liberated; aśubhāt = from ill fortune.;
What is action? What is inaction? As to this even the wise are deluded. Therefore I shall teach you action (the nature of action and inaction) knowing which you shall be liberated from the evil (of SAMSARA — the wheel of birth and death) .
