देहिनोऽस्मिन्यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा ।
तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति ॥ २-१३॥
dehino’sminyathā dehe kaumāraṃ yauvanaṃ jarā
tathā dehāntaraprāptirdhīrastatra na muhyati
dehīnaḥ = of the embodied; asmin = in this; yathā = as; dehe = in the body; kaumāraṃ = boyhood; yauvanaṃ = youth; jarā = old age; tathā = similarly; dehāntara = of transference of the body; prāptiḥ = achievement; dhīraḥ = the sober; tatra = thereupon; na = never; muhyati = is deluded.;
Just as in this body the embodied (soul) passes into childhood, youth and old age, so also does he pass into another body; the firm man does not grieve at it.
